Ecuador 4-2   Ecuador is one country in South America where you can find BETIS!

This is a country with 283,500 square kilometers with Spanish as official language and his population over pass 16 millions of people. (World bank data 2016). Stable and growing economic thanks to the United State Dollars (USD) replaced the local currency well known as SUCRE as a local currency adopted in January 9, 2000.

Quito is the capital city of Ecuador and second-highest official capital city in the world, after La Paz Bolivia.

The historic center of Quito has one of the largest, least-altered and best-preserved historic centers in the Americas. Quito and Kraków, Poland, were among the first World Cultural Heritage Sites declared by UNESCO, in 1978. The central square of Quito is located about 25 kilometres (16 miles) south of the equator; the city itself extends to within about 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) of zero latitude. A monument and museum marking the general location of the equator is known locally as la mitad del mundo (the middle of the world), to avoid confusion, as the word ecuador is Spanish for equator.

On the other hand, Guayaquil is a port city in Ecuador, known as a gateway to Pacific beaches and the Galapagos Islands. Stretching along the Guayas River is the waterfront Simón Bolívar promenade, home to La Rotonda monument. In the north, Las Peñas is a neighborhood full of colorful houses. Stairs lined with cafes and art galleries lead up Santa Ana Hill, site of Santa Ana chapel, a lighthouse and views of the city. Is the largest and the most populous city in Ecuador, with around 2.6 million people in the metropolitan area, as well as the nation's main port.

What about food? The #1 dish in the variety of Ecuadorian gastronomy is “ENCEBOLLADO”, is a coastal breakfast soup made with fish; yucca and pickled red onion.

BETIS has a very successful history with this country, we started our business in the year 2014 from the hands of our partner Corporación El Rosado; which is the owner of a multiple local business like entertainment & leisure business: radio station and cinemas; international food chains franchises like Chili’s; Red Lobster and Olive Garden and local food distribution channels with platform stores as Mi Comisariato; Miniplus and Hipermarkets outlets around the Guayaquil city).

BETIS is a very well known brand in Ecuador and there is still a lot of space to grow so the potential is big. We are glad consumers in this country are becoming more health conscious and they know what they want. One of this wish is BETIS olive oil.
