Christmas dinner

A period of excess is approaching, this is Christmas. This period is full of copious meals, imbalances and disorder, so it is more than advisable to clean our organism. To achieve this, we do not need to fast, take dietary supplements, take strict diets nor play sports to the extreme. It is just a matter of having common sense... and taking care of yourself a little.

For that reason; today, we want to comment some keys to recover the good habits and reset our body:

  1. Clean up yourself. Try not to introduce more toxins in your body (alcohol, caffeine…) and remove those you have accumulated in holidays. A good way is taking a fasting glass of hot water with lemon every morning, in addition it will help you to alkalize yourself.
  2. Keep the routine in your eating habits. Have five meals a day and try to make a routine in respect of hours. This way, we activate the metabolism, and we are less hungry in meals and avoid to snack. Remember this advice, breakfast richly, lunch moderately and dine light foods.
  3. Take a lot of fruit. Try to eat a minimum of five pieces of fruit every day, one fruit each meal. Vegetables and fruits are a source of health. Vegetables contains proteins and have the advantage of not providing saturated fats and cholesterol.
  4. Introduce proteins in your meals, specially in lunch and dinner: white fish is perfect because of its nutritional value and low caloric value, try to eat it three or four times a week.
  5. Remove saturated fats. They are present in industrial baking, sausages, whole milk, etc., and take healthy fats: avocado, salmon or nuts are a source of omega 3, 6 and 9.
  6. Control the carbohydrates. Try to take foods of low glycemic index: pasta, rice and brown bread.
  7. Measure the oil you take. Try to take higher quality olive oil if possible and do not pass of two tablespoons a day.
  8. Drink water. It is the vehicle that your body uses in order to remove toxins. A lack of water can provoke headaches, apathy and decrease of memory, fatigue… You should drink at least a liter and a half of water a day.
  9. Switch on to infusions. Some of them, such as green tea, will help you to burn fat and avoid fluid retention.
  10. Exercise yourself at least two or three times a week, and incorporate little habits to your daily routine, like using stairs instead of the elevator, and try to walk 15 to 30 minutes a day in order to oxygenate your brain and lungs with fresh air.
