Salads, as well as being easy and quick to prepare, can be spectacularly good, like the one in today's recipe. We hope you enjoy the delicious blend of goat's cheese, apple and walnuts.

It is well-known that salads are genuinely refreshing during warm weather, since they are nearly always served cold. However, there are a wide range of salads that include ingredients served warm, which makes them a very appealing option all year round. In this salad, the lettuce and apples in particular provide vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, while the goat's cheese provides high-quality proteins and some fat. Because the dish contains cheese, it is recommended that those with weight problems or high levels of cholesterol or triglycerides consume it in moderation.

Preparation:

First of all, prepare the vinaigrette by adding some salt, some black pepper and the honey to the balsamic vinegar. Once you have a smooth blend, add the Betis olive oil and continue to stir the mixture.

Cut the goat's cheese into thin slices and place them on the pieces of toast. Heat the bread and cheese in the oven for a few minutes, without letting the cheese melt.

Place the mixed lettuce in a serving dish, along with the apples, peeled and sliced. Crush the walnuts (if desired) and sprinkle them on top. Next, add the toast and cheese.

Finally, dress the salad with the vinaigrette, stirring it once more before pouring it on.

Note: serves 4. Preparation time: 15 minutes. Cooking time: 5 minutes.
