Mediterranean diet slows brain aging

For this current one, researchers focused on elderly people with normal cognitive function to see if the diet might also be tied to losing fewer brain cells due to aging. To understand the relationship between the diet and brain health, researchers reviewed surveys that 674 people with an average of 80 completed in the last year, and then they examined the scans of their brains. The result shows that the group that ate a Mediterranean diet had larger total brain volume with more gray and white matter, which means, a younger brain. The Mediterranean diet is simple to follow. You will need to eat meals made up of vegetables, fruit, beans and cereals. You should eat fish and poultry at least twice a week, you can also enjoy a glass of wine a day.
